WILL THE PROPOSED EXPANSION INCREASE THE OPERATIONAL TAX BURDEN FOR THE PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT?

The Recreation Center generates revenue from customer fees and rentals.  The current facility recaptures 35% of our expenses through these revenues.  The proposed new facilities have a higher revenue recapture rate, meaning it will enable the Department to provide increased services to our community at a lower than existing operational subsidy.

WILL THE CURRENT RECREATION CENTER BE CLOSED DURING CONSTRUCTION?

No, the existing aquatic facilities will not be closed during the expansion.

IS MY DONATION TAX DEDUCTIBLE?

Your support of YES FOR REC is a great way to get involved in the community, but political donations are not tax deductible.
